Mission:To Achieve Better Governing of our city by City Council and the City Manager. We will bring your collective messages to their attention regularly in writing of what you want them to hear, both good and bad, so your collective voices will be much greater than just one. To evaluate the City Manager’s performance of
submitting financial plans to the council in writing with complete details
on why the request
is being made; what options he has evaluated and is recommending in the
financial plan is turned down; what is the impact to the tax payers is
in principal and long term interest; what the projected impact is on
future tax increases of this request; competitive bid quotations for
the work; on submitting detailed documents to keep the public informed
of present and future needs of the city; on how he answers questions
of council and the public: straight forward yes or no. To present Performance Charts and Graphs of each City Council Member based upon their actual vote on each issue. This will enable citizens to see if who they voted for is keeping the promises they made. It will highlight who the Council members are who vote for more debt and unnecessary spending, that continues to cause rises in our taxes. To support Council Members throughout their term in office who clearly demonstrate through their votes, actions, and deeds that they are for Better Government, debt reduction, and lower taxes while maintaining essential services. To speak out against Council Members throughout their term in office who demonstrate through their votes and actions that they are the members who are causing our taxes to increase, who are support costly contracts, agreements, and other initiatives, and who refuse to heed the will of the people they represent. To identify and support candidates who are running for elected office that have the same goals as we do. To assist citizens to become registered to vote, regardless of their political party affiliation or point of view. To recognize people who help the city become better. |
